Donald Anderson, CMSR.N., M.S.N, Ed.D.
TPS Director and Lecturer, has written over 100 questions for the National Council of State Boards (NCLEX),
has authored several NCLEX Review books and his latest offering Staff Nurse Survival Guide - 06 has become a
"Must Have" for all new graduate nurses practicing in acute care. His "philosophy" has assisted thousands of
Graduate Nurses to take control of the NCLEX-RN exam rather than letting it control them. He is currently an
Associate Professor of Nursing at Curry College, Milton, Massachusetts.

Sara Barnum, MS, RN-BC
Sara received her BS in nursing from Fitchburg State College and later went to The University of
Massachusetts-Boston for her Masters in Gerontological Nursing and Education. She has been an intricate
part of TPS and Director of Pharmacology for over ten years . She is currently a Nurse Educator for
Beverly Hospital, Beverly, Ma. and is the Geriatic Clinical Educator for
Northeast Hospitals. Sara has been a contributor for Dr. Anderson's First Aid for the NCLEX
Books as well as the study guides for the TPS review.
Sara receives high marks from the student evaluation of Pharmacology. They note her to be "energetic and
knowledgeable. " Many students have said. "She makes a great day out of the most dreaded subject. Pharmacology.
Merrily Crowley, MS, RN, CNE
After graduating from Simmons College with BA in nursing, Merrily worked for a number of years
in pediatrics. She has an MS from Boston University and also has many years experience teaching
medical-surgical and professional nursing. Currently she is the Nursing Laboratory Coordinator and
a Nursing Instructor at Regis College. She has been a contributor for Dr. Anderson's study guides
for the TPS review and has written several other articles on nursing education.
Janice Dehart, R.N.,CS, MS.
Graduated from St. Elizabeth's Hospital School of Nursing in 1970, received her BSN from Salem State College
in 1987 and received her MS from University of Mass. Lowell in 1990. She is certified as a Family Nurse Practitioner.
She has been employed part-time at the University of Mass Boston since 1990, teaching in both the undergraduate
and graduate nursing programs. Area of special interest is women's health with extensive background in maternal-child
nursing. She is also employed part-time as a family nurse practitioner in collaborative practice on the north shore.
Janice's expertise is utilized by the TPS team in the role of Director of Maternal-Child Health Nursing. Her approach
to reviewing material is highly acclaimed by students.
Michelle McMahon, MSN, RN
Michelle received her baccalaureate and masters in nursing degrees from Salem State College. During her MSN program she specialized in nursing education and advanced nursing in the community setting. She has extensive education experience teaching both classroom and clinical courses for practical nurse students, as well as in her current role as an undergraduate faculty member at Curry College. During her professional career she has worked with clients from the maternal-child, pediatric and adult health populations in diverse clinical settings, including acute, rehab, community and long-term care environments.
In addition to her strong medical-surgical knowledge base, she has a particular interest in therapeutic communication and the psychosocial aspects of nursing care. Michelle enjoys helping students synthesize the knowledge they received during their nursing education and assisting them prepare for success on the NCLEX-RN.
Bethany Nasser, RN., MS
Bethany is a graduate of Salem State College for both her undergraduate and graduate degrees. Bethany has an undergraduate degree in Nursing and a Masters degree in Education and Community Health Nursing. She has taught Fundamentals, Community Health and Acute Care Nursing at Northeastern University and Bunker Hill Community College. In addition, Bethany has written several award winning articles on various Nursing topics.
Bethany has worked at a Family Practice Center caring for patients ranging from birth through geriatrics. She has worked as a school nurse at St. John The Evangelist (Pre K - 8) for the past two years and has worked at Massachusetts General Hospital as an acute care nurse for the past 15 years.
Bethany brings her diverse background to TPS and has been teaching the pediatric portion for four years. She enjoys assisting students to develop their test taking skills as well as sharing her love of nursing with students.
